CSC ServiceWorks has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that it failed to prevent a 2024 data breach that compromised sensitive consumer information.
The CSC ServiceWorks class action settlement benefits consumers whose personally identifiable information was compromised in the CSC ServiceWorks data breach announced in August 2024.
According to plaintiffs in the CSC ServiceWorks data breach class action lawsuit, CSC ServiceWorks failed to prevent a 2024 data breach that compromised sensitive consumer information. The company could have prevented the breach with reasonable cybersecurity measures, the class action lawsuit contends.
CSC ServiceWorks is a company that provides laundry and air-vending solutions for schools, gyms, apartments and other locations.
CSC ServiceWorks has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the CSC ServiceWorks data breach class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the CSC ServiceWorks settlement, class members can receive up to $5,000 for documented data breach losses. This includes up to four hours of lost time at a rate of $25 per hour. Class members can also be reimbursed for bank fees, communication charges, travel expenses, credit-related costs and other losses. Class members must provide documentation of these expenses in order to receive reimbursement.
All class members can receive two years of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through IDX Identity Protection Services. These services include one-bureau credit monitoring and $1 million in identity theft and fraud insurance.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is June 2, 2026.
