Apple agreed to a $95 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that Siri unintentionally recorded private conversations and shared them with third parties.
The Apple Siri settlement benefits current and former owners and purchasers of Siri-enabled devices, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, iMac, HomePod, iPod touch and Apple TV, who reside in the United States and whose private communications were obtained by Apple and/or shared with third parties due to unintended Siri activations between Sept. 17, 2014, and Dec. 31, 2024.
The plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit accused Apple of violating privacy laws by unintentionally activating Siri on its devices and recording private conversations, which were allegedly shared with third parties.
Apple has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $95 million class action settlement to resolve the allegations.
Under the terms of the Apple Siri settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of devices they owned and the net settlement fund after deductions.
Class members who submit valid claims can receive up to $20 per Siri device. Exact payments will vary depending on the number of devices claimed and the number of claims filed.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is July 2, 2025.
The final approval hearing for the Apple Siri settlement is scheduled for Aug. 1, 2025.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by July 2, 2025.
Who’s Eligible
Current and former owners and purchasers of Siri-enabled devices who reside in the United States and whose private communications were obtained by Apple and/or shared with third parties due to unintended Siri activations between Sept. 17, 2014, and Dec. 31, 2024.
Potential Award
A pro rata $20 cash payment for each affected device.
Proof of Purchase
The claim form requires class members to confirm or update their current contact information and confirm under oath that, from Sept. 17, 2014, to Dec. 31, 2024, they purchased or owned a Siri device in the United States or its territories and enabled Siri on that device, they experienced an unintended Siri activation and the unintended Siri activation occurred during a conversation intended to be confidential or private.

Apple was told not to share my info. They had a choice not to hand my email over to Angeion Group.
Apple is aware that I don’t participate in class actions and don’t allow my details to be shared at the whim of a law firm looking to get 25 million and some civilian case lawyer.
The $8 is not worth the additional risk that Apple has brought on us just to settle the case for Pennie’s on the dollar.
There is no excuse for class actions to exist. They really don’t serve to genifit the consumer at all. They were hard wired from the start to burn the consumer.
Apple never know my name from the start. I gave them a fake name when I created my Apple account from Asia long ago. I gave them an address of a water tower in Florida..
The notice came to the email I used years back, addressed to the fake name. The form was pre-filled with my fake name and was flagged read only. It was impossible to change. I decide to change the street address to that of Angeion Group itself.
I claimed my five devices. I guess they will cut a check for $40 to the fake name and then mail it to themselves.
It had already been announced. $8 per device.

My Siri was picking up stuff and answering it I didn’t want it to do
Apple never knew my name. They sent the notice: Claim id: LVA100332060445 Pin: GEhGc67BYuxk
The name was just made up and cannot be changed so the check would have been made out to that name.
I simply entered the address of Angeion Group (the class administrator).
Just for fun, I uploaded a photo of my ass as a receipt.
I figure I might as well entertain myself with this class action nonse.
I am waiting for an email stating that there is a problem with my claim. I can further taunt them.
