Alo Moves privacy class action settlement

An Alo Moves privacy class action settlement resolves claims the workout video website disclosed viewer information to Facebook via the Meta Pixel.

The Alo settlement includes individuals who watched one or more videos on Alo Moves and whose video viewing information the company disclosed to Meta via the Meta Pixel since Oct. 20, 2021.

Plaintiffs in the Alo Moves class action lawsuit claim Alo used the Meta Pixel on its website to share user viewing information with Facebook. According to the viewers, they never consented to having their information collected and shared in this manner.

Alo Moves is an at-home workout video program that offers yoga, fitness and meditation classes.

Alo has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the Alo Moves class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the Alo settlement, class members can receive a voucher for three months of free access to all services provided on the Alo Moves website. The voucher is fully transferable and may be sold for cash or other considerations. The retail value of the services provided in each voucher is $38.79. Vouchers must be redeemed on the Alo Moves website within six months of being issued.

The deadline for exclusion and objection was Oct. 18, 2024.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Dec. 19, 2024.

The claim form deadline is Nov. 18, 2024.

Individuals who watched one or more videos on Alo Moves and whose video viewing information the company disclosed to Meta via the Meta Pixel since Oct. 20, 2021.
