Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker and Reliable Networks agreed to a $7.25 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that they failed to protect consumers from a 2023 data breach.
The Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker settlement benefits individuals whose private information was potentially accessed as a result of the Berry Dunn data breach discovered Sept. 14, 2023.
During the Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker data breach, an unauthorized third party allegedly gained access to sensitive information which could put consumers at risk for fraud or identity theft. Plaintiffs in the data breach class action lawsuit say Berry Dunn and Reliable Networks could have prevented the breach with reasonable cybersecurity measures.
Berry Dunn is an accounting and consulting firm that offers services to a variety of industries, including healthcare, government, nonprofits, and more. Reliable Networks is an IT service provider that partners with Berry Dunn.
Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker and Reliable Networks haven’t admitted any wrongdoing in agreeing to the $7.25 million settlement.
Under the terms of the Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker settlement, class members can receive a cash payment and credit monitoring services.
Class members who experienced documented losses as a result of the data breach can receive up to $5,000 in reimbursement for these losses. Eligible losses may include unreimbursed fraudulent charges, identity theft losses, and other documented expenses.
Class members who did not experience documented losses can receive a flat payment of $100. These payments may be adjusted up or down depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement.
All class members, regardless of whether they experienced losses, can receive three years of credit monitoring services. These services are valued at $90 per year, for a total value of $270.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is May 7, 2025.
The final approval hearing for the Berry Dunn data breach settlement is scheduled for June 6, 2025.
In order to receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by May 22, 2025.
Who’s Eligible
Individuals whose private information was potentially accessible as a result of the Berry Dunn data breach discovered on Sept. 14, 2023, including those who received a notification from Berry Dunn informing them their information was potentially compromised.
Potential Award
Up to $5,000
Proof of Purchase
Account statements, receipts, invoices, tax documents, IRS letters, credit reports and other documentation of data breach-related losses.

How can I get in it I was part of that identity thief
I am a victim of identity theft I had a credit or debit card related to thos lawsuit I never used it cause it was stolen. CAPITOL ONE CARD IN MY NAME..
