$6.5M PillPack TCPA class action settlement

PillPack agreed to a $6.5 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act with unsolicited telemarketing calls.

The PillPack settlement benefits individuals who received a prerecorded voice call from PillPack between March 13, 2018, and June 16, 2019, where the call was live-transferred to a PillPack call center.

According to a class action lawsuit, PillPack violated the TCPA by sending unsolicited telemarketing calls to consumers. Plaintiffs in the case say they never gave PillPack permission to contact them for telemarketing purposes.

PillPack is an online pharmacy owned by Amazon that delivers medications to customers’ homes.

PillPack hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $6.5 million class action settlement to resolve these allegations.

Under the terms of the PillPack settlement, class members can receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. According to the settlement website, each claimant is estimated to receive $600-$1,500. However, exact payments will vary depending on the number of participating class members.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Jan. 20, 2025.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for April 18, 2025.

To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 20, 2025.
