A settlement has been preliminarily approved between LSI PRODUCTS INC. (LSI), the entity that previously owned and manufactured Pro Armor brand utility vehicle (UTV) after-market doors and consumers who purchased these doors between June 11, 2010 and June 11, 2014.
The settlement covers persons who purchased a new (not used) UTV door during this period either from Pro Armor or through an authorized reseller or distributor of Pro Armor UTV doors.
If you purchased any of the following Pro Armor brand doors between June 11, 2010 and June 11, 2014, you may be entitled to benefits from this class action settlement:
- RZR doors
- RZR-4 doors
- Teryx doors (sometimes referred to as the T-Rex door)
- RZR-S doors
- RZR XP 1000 doors
- RZR XP 4 1000 doors
- RZR XP900 doors
- RZR XP900 4 doors
Plaintiff Katrina Allison filed the class action against LSI, claiming that LSI falsely advertised the Doors, and in particular that the Doors do not provide a safety benefit to the UTV, but were advertised as providing one. LSI denies these allegations but has agreed to settle the class action lawsuit to avoid the burden and expense of litigation.
Under the terms of the settlement, purchasers of the Doors during June 11, 2010, through June 11, 2014, will be eligible to receive either: (1) a $60 gift card; or (2) a 10 percent discount coupon (maximum discount value of $60) for use at ProArmor.com.
Additionally, LSI has agreed that it has ceased and will continue to refrain from advertising the Doors as implicitly or expressly providing “safety,” a “safety benefit,” and/or any benefit other than a “style” benefit. LSI will also remove any and all of its online video advertisements for the Doors that are the current property of LSI as of April 1, 2016.
Class Members who want to opt out of the Pro Armor settlement must do so by June 2, 2017.
Who’s Eligible
Eligible Class Members include all purchasers of the Doors between June 11, 2010 and June 11, 2014. It must be a purchase of a new (not used) UTV door from Pro Armor or through an authorized reseller or distributor of Pro Armor UTV doors.

If the total redeemed value of gift cards after the gift card expiration date is less than $200,000, LSI will make up the difference between the actual redeemed value of gift cards and $200,000 by making a contribution equal to amount of the gap to charity.
