
Frontier Communications has agreed to a $5.64 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it failed to prevent a 2024 data breach that compromised sensitive consumer information.
The Frontier Internet settlement benefits individuals who received a notice from Frontier Communications informing them their private information may have been compromised in a data breach on April 14, 2024.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit accused Frontier of failing to prevent a data breach that occurred in April 2024. The Frontier Internet data breach allegedly compromised sensitive information such as Social Security numbers.
Frontier Communications is a telecommunications company that provides internet, television and phone services.
Frontier has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to this $5.64 million settlement to resolve allegations in the data breach class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Frontier Internet settlement, class members can receive compensation for either documented or undocumented losses.
Class members who have experienced documented losses as a result of the data breach can receive up to $5,000 in reimbursement for expenses such as bank fees, communication charges and travel expenses. Documentation such as receipts, emails and correspondences must be submitted with these claims.
Class members who did not experience documented losses can receive a flat payment of $100.
All class members, regardless of whether they experienced losses, can receive two years of free credit monitoring from the settlement.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is Oct. 14, 2025.
The final approval hearing for the Frontier Communications data breach settlement is scheduled for Nov. 18, 2025.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Oct. 27, 2025.
Who’s Eligible
The settlement benefits individuals residing in the United States who received a data breach notice from Frontier Communications informing them their private information may have been affected by a data breach in April 2024.
Potential Award
Up to $5,000 in documented losses or a cash payment of $100.
Proof of Purchase
Class members can submit documentation such as telephone records, correspondence or receipts to support their claims.
