TTCU Federal Credit Union, formerly known as TTCU the Credit Union and Tulsa Teachers Credit Union, has agreed to a $3 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it charged unfair overdraft and insufficient funds fees.

The TTCU Federal Credit Union settlement benefits individuals who have or had a checking account with TTCU Federal Credit Union and were charged an overdraft fee or insufficient funds fee between Aug. 31, 2015, and May 1, 2024.

According to claims made in the class action lawsuit resolved by this settlement, TTCU Federal Credit Union charged unfair overdraft fees, overdraft transfer fees and insufficient funds fees. Plaintiffs in the case say the fees violated the terms of their account agreements.

TTCU Federal Credit Union is an Oklahoma-based credit union with locations in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

TTCU has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $3 million class action settlement to resolve the overdraft fees allegations.

Under the terms of this settlement, class members can receive a cash payment, account credit or forgiveness of uncollected overdraft fees or insufficient funds fees. Exact payments will vary depending on the number of fees each class member was charged and the number of fees charged to all class members.

Current TTCU members will receive account credits for the amount they are entitled to under the settlement. Former members will receive a cash payment in the form of a check.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is March 8, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the TTCU Federal Credit Union settlement is scheduled for April 28, 2026.

No claim form is required to benefit from the settlement. Class members who do not exclude themselves will automatically receive a settlement payment.

Service 1st federal credit union in Danville pa 17821 for doing the same thing. As well as promising me my heloc would never exceed a $800 a month payment even if I used the entire $150k amount. Well shortly after my monthly payment exceeded $1300! A month. When I demanded to know wth happened, I was told interest rate, and Karen Scott (person who assisted me w/ opening my heloc ) evidently never locked my rate in….????… but no one would inform me where she went or why she no longer works there. Upon recent research ,I found out Karen Scott passed away from a battle with cancer… In addition to, I also realized that a large portion was charged for fees from the bank for numerous reasons. From insufficient funds in checking and “they had to transfer money from my heloc to my checking or saving” or “from my savings to my checking” MANY TIMES! … Nor can I identify or account for over $14k missing or unidentifiable charges. Another incident they took $1000 from my daughter’s account to pay MY HELOC PAYMENT! Which from the very beginning! Before I ever agreed to opening a heloc on the $600k-$800k+ home i personally built and owned. That they rather gave “us, (my wife and I)” basically a personal loan based upon her teaching income, rather than the traditional 80% of an appraisal that was never done to truly value and base upon my homes value . If I could pull $ from the heloc to pay multiple months in a row to rest assured that I wouldn’t be able to screw anything up or risk losing my $600k+ custom built home? And Karen Scott, reassured me, that yes I could! Without penalties… well again, shortly after! I pulled money and made multiple month payments in a row, inwhich the drive through tellers understood and accepted my multiple month payments, only to be later hit with a fee and informed that infact, they didn’t allow that… nor did they allow multiple months be paid at once!!!… To ensure that EVERY MONTH THERE AFTER, NOT ONLY EXCEEDED THE $800 KAREN SCOTT REASSURED ME WASNT POSSIBLE, BUT THEY ALSO HIT ME WITH FEE AFTER FEE BECAUSE OF THESE MISLEADING AND MISINFORMED REASSURANCES AND FALSE INFORMATION FROM A DECEASED EMPLOYEE .Service 1st federal credit union in Danville pa 17821 for doing the same thing.
