Citizens Disability LLC agreed to a $320,000 settlement to resolve claims it violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by placing prerecorded phone calls to individuals without their prior express written consent.
The Citizens Disability settlement benefits individuals who answered one or more prerecorded calls from Citizens Disability made from the Pipes.ai calling platform between Nov. 8, 2019, and Oct. 25, 2023, and at the time of the call, Citizens Disability’s only lead source for the person called was GrantsAssistanceForYou.com.
The lawsuit claims Citizens Disability violated the federal telemarketing law by calling consumers with prerecorded phone calls without their consent. The TCPA prohibits businesses from making these phone calls without first obtaining express written consent, even if a business has a relationship with the call recipient.
Citizens Disability is a disability benefits advocacy firm that helps clients obtain Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income benefits.
Citizens Disability has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $320,000 class action settlement to resolve the TCPA allegations.
Under the terms of the Citizens Disability settlement, class members can receive a pro rata share of the net settlement fund. Exact payment amounts will vary depending on the number of claims filed. No payment estimates are available at this time.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is March 17, 2025.
The final approval hearing for the TCPA class action lawsuit settlement is scheduled for June 3, 2025.

I’m hoping a Class action suit will be filed against “Local Insurance Advisors” and/or Insurance Enrollment Services. Just since Nov. 2024, I have received over, literally 300 calls. (Just today from 9:00 this morning until just a few minutes ago, I have received 33 calls! It’s not a good thing when you’re on BP medication and Anxiety medication.
