FuboTV agreed to pay $3.4 million to resolve claims it violated federal privacy laws by sharing user data with third parties without consent.

The FuboTV class action settlement benefits individuals who had a FuboTV account or used another person’s FuboTV account at any time before May 29, 2025.

According to the FuboTV class action lawsuit, the company violated the federal Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) by sharing user data with third parties, such as Facebook and Google. The VPPA prohibits video providers from sharing user information without consent.

FuboTV is a live TV streaming service that allows subscribers to watch sports, news and entertainment.

FuboTV has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $3.4 million settlement to resolve the VPPA class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the FuboTV class action settlement, class members can receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. Exact payment amounts will vary depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement. Class members who submit California-specific certifications will receive 1.1 times the payment compared to those who do not.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 28, 2025.

The final approval hearing for the FuboTV privacy class action settlement is scheduled for Oct. 6, 2025.

To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 12, 2025.

All persons who, at any time on or before May 29, 2025, had an account to use the Fubo platform or used the Fubo account of another person while residing in the United States or its territories.
