SiriusXM agreed to a $28 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) with unsolicited telemarketing calls.
The SiriusXM settlement covers consumers who received more than one telemarketing call from SiriusXM within any 12-month period between April 27, 2019, and Oct. 31, 2025, despite either registering their phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry or requesting placement on SiriusXM’s internal Do Not Call list.
Plaintiffs in the telemarketing class action lawsuit claim that SiriusXM contacted them with unsolicited telemarketing calls, even though they had their phone numbers registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. The company allegedly made these calls without getting the recipients’ prior express written consent as required by the TCPA.
SiriusXM is a subscription-based radio service that offers a variety of music, news, sports and other channels.
SiriusXM has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $28 million class action settlement to resolve the TCPA allegations.
Under the terms of the SiriusXM settlement, class members can receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. Exact payment amounts will vary depending on the number of participating class members. No payment estimates are available at this time.
In addition to providing cash benefits, SiriusXM agreed to implement new business practices to comply with telemarketing laws. These practices include scrubbing telemarketing lists, implementing new calling policies and more.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is March 27, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the SiriusXM TCPA settlement is scheduled for May 11, 2026.
To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by March 21, 2026.
