A $14 million settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against South Florida Stadium LLC, Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL), Confederation of North, Central America, Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) and BEST Crowd Management Inc. over the Copa America Final Match 2024.

The settlement benefits those who were valid ticketholders to the Copa America final match on July 14, 2024, and who were denied entry to the stadium or were admitted to the stadium but were denied full access to and enjoyment of stadium facilities or to specific seats purchased.

The class action lawsuit resolved by this settlement claimed valid ticketholders to the final match were entitled to money damages because they were denied entry to the stadium or were admitted to the stadium but were denied full access to and enjoyment of stadium facilities or to specific seats purchased. The lawsuit claims negligence on the part of the defendants.

The Copa America is a soccer tournament that features the best teams from North and South America. The final match of the tournament is held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Under the terms of the settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the class they belong to.

Class members who were denied entry to the stadium can receive up to $2,000 per ticket. This includes up to $300 in out-of-pocket travel costs.

Class members who were admitted to the stadium but were denied full access can receive $100 per ticket.

The deadline to opt out of or object to the Hard Rock Stadium settlement is March 25, 2026.

A final fairness hearing will take place May 13, 2026.

The deadline to file a claim is Aug. 11, 2026.
