Golden Sunrise has agreed to an FTC settlement to resolve claims that it falsely advertised its health plans and overcharged consumers for bogus treatments.

The settlement benefits individuals who purchased Golden Sunrise’s Primary Plan of Care, Emergency D-Virus Plan of Care, Metabolic Plan of Care, and Cancer Plan of Care between July 2017 and July 2020.

The FTC lawsuit claims that Golden Sunrise made false claims regarding its products’ abilities to treat or cure COVID-19, cancer and other serious health issues. The company allegedly charged consumers thousands of dollars for products which were mostly made of herbs and spices.

Golden Sunrise is a pharmaceutical and ā€œnutraceuticalā€ company that claims to develop dietary supplements using principles of quantum biology.

Per a federal court order, Golden Sunrise agreed to return $103,420 to affected consumers to resolve the FTC allegations.

Under the terms of the settlement, 581 customers are eligible to receive an FTC refund. Eligible customers received a notice from the FTC inviting them to file a claim for payment. Payment amounts will vary depending on the amount spent per consumer and the number of valid claims filed.

Payments are expected to be sent in 2026.

There is no exclusion or objection deadline for the FTC settlement.

The federal court order approving the settlement was entered on June 11, 2021.

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by April 6, 2025 in order to receive FTC payments.
