Vornado Air is recalling about 7,780 VH2 Whole Room Heaters over concerns they could pose an electrical shock and fire hazard.
The recall involves Vornado VH2 Whole Room Heaters with a date code of July 24 or Aug. 24 and the words “TYPE VH2” printed on a silver rating label located on the bottom of the heater.
Vornado said it is concerned the recalled room heaters’ power cord could partially detach from the enclosure, leading to cord damage over time that could cause the fire and shock risk.
The company advises customers to immediately stop using the recalled Vornado heaters and to contact the company to confirm they are affected by the recall and, if so, obtain instructions on how to receive a free replacement device.
Recalled Vornado heaters sold on Amazon.com for about $90
The recalled Vornado heaters were sold exclusively on Amazon.com between August 2024 and October 2024 for around $90, according to the Vornado recall.
Vornado said it has not received any reports of injuries or incidents that would be connected to the recall.
