Thousands of women have reported suffering from injuries stemming from problems from Essure birth control. Many stories from these women can be found online posted by women seeking support for their problems from Essure.
Problems from Essure are so prevalent that a popular hashtag #EssureProblems identifies many concerns related to this popular choice for female birth control.
What is Essure?
Essure is the only permanent, non-surgical female sterilization option for women currently on the market. It is an alternative to the traditional tubal ligation surgery that many women have opted for as they searched for a permanent birth control solution.
The Essure birth control device consists of two small metal coils that are implanted by physician during an outpatient office visit. These two coils are planted in the fallopian tubes with the assistance of a device that is inserted into a woman‘s vagina.
After the coils are properly placed, the body mounts an inflammatory response around the coils and eventually forms scar tissue in the area. Within about three months, enough scar tissue will form around the metal coils to completely block the woman‘s fallopian tubes.
Each month, when the woman releases an egg with the Essure product in place, it cannot pass into an area of the body where it can join with sperm.
When women learned that there was an alternative to surgery with little to no downtime that could offer them permanent sterilization, many of them jumped at the chance to take advantage of a birth control option that seemed ideal.
However, what many of them did not realize was that they were potentially setting themselves up from severe complications and problems from Essure.

Have You Suffered Problems from Essure Birth Control?
If you have suffered problems from Essure birth control, you may be eligible to take legal action against the product manufacturer.
Plaintiffs who go on to successfully file product liability lawsuits against product manufacturers are often able to recover damages related to medical expenses, pain and suffering, emotional distress and mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of spousal companionship, lost earnings, lost earning capacity and more.
These lawsuits typically allege that Essure was defectively designed, defectively manufactured and defectively marketed and seek to hold the manufacturer accountable for these defects.
