Skechers Store Class Action Settlement
By Kimberly Mirando

The Skechers credit card settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled Pomerants v. Skechers USA, that alleges Skechers violated California law by requesting and recording personal identification information, including addresses, email addresses and phone numbers, of Skechers customers who paid for merchandise using a credit card. Skechers denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the case to avoid ongoing litigation.
Class Members of the Skechers store class action settlement include anyone who used a credit card to make a purchase at a California Skechers store (including Skechers retail stores, concept stores, factory outlet stores and warehouse stores) between April 22, 2009 and November 11, 2011, and their personal identification information was requested and recorded by Skechers.
Under the Skechers class action settlement, Class Members can receive either a $15-off or $20%-off Merchandise Certificate if they submit a claim form no later than April 19, 2012.
