  • Where: The holiday recalls affect consumers nationwide and in Canada. 

Prinx Chengshan Tire North America, Mr. Christmas, QVC, Govee, GoveeLife and Danone US recently issued recalls involving winter and/or holiday products. 

The holiday recalls involve snow tires, Christmas lights, oven gloves, electric space heaters and creamer.

500K+ replacement snow tires recalled over traction concerns

Prinx Chengshan Tire North America issued a recall for more than 500,000 replacement snow tires earlier this month over concerns they don’t have enough traction to perform in all snow conditions. 

The recall involves multiple Fortune Tormenta and Prinx Hicountry tires sold as replacements. The company says the tires fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards. 

“Tires that do not provide sufficient traction in snow can increase the risk of a crash,” the tire recall states. 

Prinx Chengshan Tire North America says a remedy is under development and that it expects to mail owner notification letters Feb. 1, 2025. 

Mr. Christmas recalls 44K+ Christmas lights over fire risk

Holiday decoration company Mr. Christmas issued a recall for more than 44,000 Christmas lights in December over concerns they can overheat and start a fire

The recall involves around 44,600 wireless decorative tree light controllers sold at Walmart, Target and Cracker Barrel stores nationwide and online for $25-$40 from July-November 2024. 

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Christmas lights and return them to their place of purchase to receive a full refund, according to the recall notice. 

Mr. Christmas says it received 10 reports of overheating, including one report of fire in connection with the recall. 

QVC recalls 1M+ oven gloves over inadequate heat protection concerns

QVC issued a recall for more than 1 million pairs of oven gloves this month over concerns they fail to provide enough heat protection, posing a burn hazard

The recall involves Temp-tations oven gloves sold in a variety of colors and includes model numbers K51459, K76398, K47973, K48879, K85322, K96004, K92603, K308719, K309220, K309388 and K309516. 

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled oven gloves and contact QVC to receive a full refund, the recall notice states. 

QVC says it received 162 reports of insufficient heat protection, including 92 reports of minor burn injuries, in connection with the recall. 

Govee, GoveeLife electric space heaters recalled over fire, burn hazards

Lighting and home device company Govee and its subsidiary GoveeLife issued a recall for more than 500,000 electric space heaters in November over concerns they can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards

The recall involves GoveeLife and Govee smart electric space heaters sold on Amazon.com, Govee’s website, the Govee Home App and the TikTok Shop under the model numbers H7130 — including the H7130101 variation — H7131, H7132, H7133, H7134 and H7135.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled space heaters and contact Govee or GoveeLife to receive a full refund, according to the recall notice.

The company says it received 113 reports of overheating, including seven reports of fires and one report of a minor burn injury in connection with the recall. 

International Delight creamer recalled over zero sugar mislabeling

Danone US issued a recall for 1,799 cases of International Delight brand zero sugar peppermint mocha creamer in October because it actually contained sugar

The recall involves Home Alone International Delight Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar creamer sold in 32-ounce plastic bottles in a 6-bottle case with a best-by date of Feb. 25, 2025. 

Danone US distributed the recalled creamer to Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin. 

The Food and Drug Administration classified the creamer recall as a Class II recall, meaning the product has a low chance of causing serious injuries or death but can possibly cause adverse health effects.
