Plumber installing drain and water connector hoseMany homeowners have complained about the failure of components often used to connect water pipes in their homes to toilets and other things that need a water connection such as sinks and refrigerators. The companies that make these water lines have been blamed for bursts, leaks and other failures that can cause water damage in homes.

One such company is LSP Products, which manufactures water lines under the brand names AquaFlo, MightyFlex and DiamondBack. LSP Products is a Texas-based company with distribution facilities in both Dallas and in Carson City, Nev., and manufacturing facilities in Hainan, China and Carson City, Nev.

The MightyFlex water connector hose has recently come under fire, as homeowners allege they have experienced thousands of dollars worth of damage when their MightyFlex water connector hose that connects their toilets to the water lines in their homes has failed.

MightyFlex water connector hoses and AquaFlo braided water lines both provide water from the main water lines of a house to things like toilets, ice makers, sinks, refrigerators, bathroom faucets, kitchen faucets and dishwashers. Other names by which these water lines go include flexible water lines, toilet connectors, water connector hoses and supply lines.

These hoses, including the MightyFlex water connector hose and AquaFlo braided water lines are made of flexible tubing with a nut on each end. The flexible tubing is surrounded by braided stainless steel wires for strength. The nuts connect the water line to the appliance and can either be plastic or metal.

In addition to the alleged defect in the MightyFlex water connector hose, the AquaFlo braided water lines are also components that have been linked to reported problems. Homeowners say the alleged defects can result in significant water damage when the plastic coupling nut fails, the braided hose bursts or the brass coupling nut breaks.

Whether it is an AquaFlo braided water line or a MightyFlex water connector hose, resulting leaks, failures or bursts can result in water damage that can cost homeowners great deals of money and take long periods of time to fix. Even if homeowners’ insurance takes care of the damage from such a MightyFlex water connector hose failure, the homeowner may still have to pay high deductibles.

According to LSP Product’s website, “Our products not only reduce installation time and labor, but are also built to the highest quality standards and come with unmatched customer support and service.”

Some people think that the company should be held responsible for “catastrophic” water damage that has occurred as a result of these connecting hoses breaking at an earlier rate than expected. In fact, plaintiffs in a new class action lawsuit claim that these water supply lines fail at a regular rate and that homeowners’ water damage is often extensive.

If you have experienced severe water damage as a result of a broken water supply line made by LSP Products including those with the names AquaFlo, MightyFlex and DiamondBack, you may benefit from speaking with an experienced attorney. Legal compensation can help you recover what you may have unfairly spent on insurance deductibles or home repair costs.
