MegaPath Email Debacle Class Action Lawsuit
By Sarah Pierce

According to the MegaPath class action lawsuit:
“This lawsuit specifically targets MegaPath’s concealment of the fact that its core product — the email service on which thousands of businesses and individuals relied — did not work. For months, MegaPath knew that emails originating from its servers were being refused, or ‘bounced back,’ by the most popular internet domains. Despite knowing that its customers were paying to send out emails that would never be received, MegaPath never alerted Plaintiff or the other members of the Classes. As a result, Plaintiff lost revenue, goodwill, and potential business.”
The MegaPath class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of all consumers in the U.S. who paid for email hosting services from MegaPath on or after January 2011. It is seeking reimbursement to Class Members as well as damages and, where applicable, treble, multiple, disgorgement and other damages for breach of contract, fraud/intentional misrepresentation, common law conversion, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.
