The affected products include 21,557 cases of Ore-Ida tater tots with item number OIF00215A and 67 cases of Sonic tots with item number SON00543.
The Ore-Ida tater tots are packaged in 30-pound cases with UPC 1 00 72714 00215 8, while the Sonic tots have a UPC of 0 00 72714 00543 5. Both products are packaged in clear, unlabeled poly bags. The distribution of these products spans across numerous states, including California, Texas, Florida, and many others.
“The FDA is issuing an alert to not consume this product,” the recall notice says.
The recall was initiated on Jan. 12, and was classified as a Class II recall by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Feb. 10. This classification indicates that the use of the product may lead to temporary or medically reversible adverse health effects, with a remote probability of serious health consequences.
