JELD-WEN Offers Free and Discounted Century Window Products in Class Action Settlement

If you are the first (original) owner of Century Window Products in your home, you may be eligible for free or discounted replacement products from JELD-WEN under a class action settlement.

The class action settlement resolves a lawsuit against JELD-WEN that alleges the window and door manufacturer breached its warranty on all Century Window Products manufactured and sold by JELD-WEN between 1986 and 2002, according to the class action settlement notice. The class action settlement provides the following benefits to three tiers of class members:

Tier 1: Includes all persons who are the original owner of Century Window Products and who have, as of March 5, 2010, made a Century Warranty Claim for an issue with the Werzalit Frame in those windows and/or doors and did not receive any replacement product or refund, and who did not sign a release. These persons may be eligible for free replacement products from JELD-WEN as long as they have a 10-year Werzalit Warranty and are still within the warranty period.

Tier 2: Includes all persons who are the original owner of Century Window Products and who have, as of March 5, 2010, made a Century Warranty Claim for an issue related to those windows and/or doors, who received a replacement product or refund and signed a release, and who want replacement windows and/or doors for any reason. These persons may be eligible to purchase replacement products at a discount from JELD-WEN.

Tier 3: Includes all persons who are the original owner of Century Window Products and who and who have not made a Century Warranty Claim and who want replacement windows and/or doors for any reason. These persons may be eligible to purchase replacement products at a sliding-scale discount from JELD-WEN.
