HGH-CompleteClass action lawsuits have been filed against human growth hormone (HGH) supplement manufacturers, alleging that they engaged in false advertising to promote their products and that some of these HGH supplements have caused health complications, including heart attacks and strokes.

Most of the HGH supplements have been advertised to grow muscle, increase height, and even have anti-aging properties, however studies have shown these products might cause actually have the opposite effects.

Experts state that these products likely accelerate the aging process due to the biological effects on the body and may possibly be antagonistic towards growth and other biological functions.  Some of these human growth hormones have reportedly contained testosterone to help the growth of muscle, but due to improper dosages and labeling, numerous health hazards have resulted.

For this reason, many human growth hormones are outlawed in the United States, and U.S. athletes are banned from using them. Claims that they have the ability to enhance athletic performance are completely unfounded, with users facing additional risks of arthritis, diabetes, cancer, and lower life expectancy, according to claims raised in a potential HGH supplement class action lawsuit.

A 2010 study out of France found that patients who were treated with a certain growth hormone, called a recombinant human growth hormone, during child hood had an increased chance of dying early.

Recombinant growth hormone is identical to a standard growth hormone, but is used for children to treat short stature due to growth deficiency. Children who are treated with this hormone often are born with different conditions such as: Turner syndrome, Noonan syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, short stature homeobox-containing gene (SHOX) deficiency, chronic renal insufficiency, idiopathic short stature and children small for gestational age.

Overview of HGH Complications

Human growth hormones are substances created by the pituitary gland of the body, which is the main factor in childhood and adolescent development and height continuum.  HGH levels vary from patient to patient, but can change drastically as patients age or gain weight.

Due to the cultural ideal of certain heights for men and women, many supplement manufacturing companies have taken to creating artificial HGH supplements, which would ideally allow a stunted customer to grow to a standard height.  However, because of the drastic health complexity of HGH, many of these hormones are illegal and banned from sports and athletic competitions.

Some manufacturers have tried to get around this regulation by calling their HGHs “Boosters” or “Releasers,” essentially dietary supplements, which are supposed to help the body increase its natural HGH production.  This would result in decreased body fat, increase muscle, restore hair growth or color, strengthen the immune system, stabilize blood sugar, increase energy, reverse aging, improve libido function, and improve sleep quality, vision, and memory.

Despite the number of promises these supplements promise, these products are not closely monitored by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which has led many experts to call the supplements unsafe. Many of these products either contain small amounts of effective ingredients, which would need to be larger in size, or rely on junk science or irrelevant studies to support their marketing claims.
