  • Who: Plaintiff Precious Jones filed a class action lawsuit against Homeaglow Inc.
  • Why: Jones claims Homeaglow made unsolicited robocalls to her and other consumers in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
  • Where: The Homeaglow calls class action lawsuit was filed in Texas federal court.

A new class action lawsuit accuses Homeaglow of making unsolicited robocalls to consumers in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

Plaintiff Precious Jones’ class action lawsuit alleges Homeaglow, an online marketplace for independent house cleaners, violated the TCPA by placing pre-recorded telemarketing calls to her and other consumers without their prior express consent.

Jones claims she began receiving the robocalls after she inquired about Homeaglow’s services in October 2024, at which point she claims she told the company she was no longer interested in its services and asked them to stop calling her.

“Despite this request, Plaintiff continued to receive constant, harassing telemarketing calls from Defendant on her cellular telephone,” the Homeaglow calls class action says.

Jones is seeking to represent a nationwide class of consumers who received a pre-recorded telemarketing call from Homeaglow or a third party on its behalf in the past four years.

The plaintiff also wants to represent a nationwide class of consumers who received at least two telemarketing calls from Homeaglow in a 12-month period after previously requesting to no longer be contacted.

Homeaglow class action alleges company continued calling after asked to stop

Jones argues she made at least five verbal do-not-call requests to Homeaglow between November 2024 and January 2025, yet continued to receive calls from the company.

Jones claims she also sent an email to Homeaglow on Jan. 16, 2025, demanding the company cease placing calls to her, to which she claims it responded by saying it had unsubscribed her from its marketing emails.

“Despite Defendant’s assurance that Plaintiff would no longer receive telemarketing calls or texts, Plaintiff continued to receive calls from Defendant,” the Homeaglow calls class action says.

The plaintiff demands a jury trial and requests declaratory and injunctive relief and an award of between $500 and $1,500 in damages for each call made to herself and class members.

A consumer filed a similar class action lawsuit against AT&T in early January over claims the company violated the TCPA by sending telemarketing texts to consumers who attempted to opt out of receiving them.

I am looking to sue homeaglow. The service I paid for was not provided! They make it impossible to cancel or reschedule a live person to cancel. I am livid! They refused to give me my money back and continue to try to debit my accounts. I placed a block through cash app with a live representative twice and today 4/11/25 homeaglow was able to debit my account 4 times!!! Totaling $168, for what?! I never got the 6 hours of cleaning I originally paid for . They are scammers and a fraud and I want ALL my money back plus pain and suffering for the time I’ve spent trying to resolve this matter since December 2024.
