Former president Donald Trump announced Wednesday morning that he plans to file class action lawsuits against the CEOs of three social media giants over complaints of censorship.

Trump — who had accounts on several platforms muzzled after the Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6 — said in a news conference at his golf club in Bedminister, New Jersey, that he intends to file class actions against Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Alphabet (the parent company of Google and YouTube) CEO Sundar Pichai.

In each of the lawsuits, which Trump said are to be filed in the Southern District of Florida, the former president intends to represent a Class of other social media users affected by perceived censorship.

“We’re demanding an end to the shadowbanning, a stop to the silencing, and a stop to the blacklisting, banishing and canceling that you know so well,” Trump said, according to The Washington Post.

Trump is seeking immediate injunctive relief to restore his social media accounts, Axios reported — in the wake of the Jan. 6 insurrection, Twitter permanently booted him from the platform, while Facebook announced a temporary suspension that the company later said would last two years. YouTube also suspended Trump after the Capitol insurrection, but has revealed few details about how long it intends to keep that suspension in place.

Legal experts, according to The Washington Post, were skeptical of the lawsuits’ ability to hold up in court.

Eric Goldman, a professor at Santa Clara University Law School in California, told the Post that dozens of similar lawsuits have not made it far in the courtroom.

Trump is “playing a standard media game,” Goldman told The Post. “It fits into a broader pattern of the former president bringing lawsuits and then not vigorously pursuing them.”

Facebook, Google and Twitter declined to comment to The Washington Post.

I have been suspending on Twitter with many accounts over things I posted. These things I posted are now proven to be true. Same thing with Facebook too. I have been in Facebook jail too many times to count.

These are violations of my 1st amendment rights and want to join in this class action lawsuit to punish these people that violated our constitutional rights.

I was censored by Facebook and put in jail several times over my posts with Hunter Biden right before election

Sign me up also. I am a nature photographer and upload my content to my page often. I joined all the nature groups on facebook and every time i got to share one post per group, the same post once a week just to be seen out there i get harassed and even shut down by facebook itself and blamed for spamming. Its not spamming if it is one post per group once a week and they are all the subject of nature! This is insane. There nothing at all harmful, in violation or offensive whatsoever with that. I may have accidentally posted twice a few times the list is so long but thats not a problem to delete the accidental duplicate. I hoped i could get known out there and found as a self promoting person with respect to various fascist rules going on but i cant even do that. They are keeping me from ever succeeding. I want to sue them for all they got. I had enough of this.
