Recalls on Baby and Toddler Products

Health Canada has issued a number of recalls on products for infants over the past year, including for formula, bedding, and sleepers. The items, according to the agency, pose a range of hazards to babies, from fire hazards to contamination.

Health Canada maintains a section of their website dedicated to health risks and safety, including a list of products for infants and children that have been recalled in Canada.

According to Health Canada’s website, the agency issues notifications about recalls it identifies through its surveillance tools. The agency wants to share this important information with the public by sending out the recall notices and other advisories.

“Recalls and safety alerts are sent out when we have important information to share—meaning you can feel more secure when choosing and using products,” says the Health Canada website.
