Danone U.S. is recalling its So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints due to concerns over foreign materials. The recall affects products with best-by dates before Aug. 8, 2027, sold nationwide.

The recall, announced Dec. 15, stems from the cashew inclusions in the product, which may contain small stones and other hard objects .

 “This issue and recall is only isolated to the Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pint item with the indicated best-by dates and codes,” the company said in the recall notice. 

Danone U.S. has already taken steps to correct the issue and is working with retailers to remove the affected products from shelves.

Consumers advised to avoid affected So Delicious pints

Danone U.S. has advised consumers to avoid consuming the affected So Delicious Dairy Free Frozen Dessert pints. The recall notice emphasizes that the issue is limited to Salted Caramel Cluster pints and does not affect other So Delicious Dairy Free flavors or products.

The company has informed the FDA of the Danone recall and is collaborating with retail partners to ensure the swift removal of the potentially hazardous products from store shelves. 

Danone U.S. has also assured consumers that it has identified and rectified the issue, and the popular So Delicious Dairy Free Frozen Dessert will soon return to the market.

To address the issue, Danone is offering refunds to customers who have purchased the affected product. Consumers can contact the company directly on their care line at 1-833-367-8975 for assistance, or use the provided webform for inquiries.

Danone U.S. says it has not received any reports of illness or injury related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the Danone recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
