Plaintiffs Eric and Ruth G. have filed a DePuy ASR hip revision lawsuit in Ohio federal court, which joins growing multidistrict litigation (MDL) against the company. The lawsuit was filed on March 21, 2018.

According to the DePuy ASR hip revision lawsuit, Eric and Ruth are residents and citizens of the state of Colorado. Ruth filed the lawsuit claiming damages as a result of loss of consortium.

Eric claims damages for severe injuries he suffered and economic loss, the lawsuit states. He says that he was implanted with the DePuy ASR artificial hip system in both his right and left hip on Oct. 23, 2006.

However, he claims he underwent a revision arthroplasty in his left hip on March 5, 2018. During the revision arthroplasty, the device was removed. He also has a tentative date to remove the device from his right hip in June.
