Samsung washing machine problems may present grounds for class action investigation participation or even lawsuits. According to a growing number of consumers, Samsung washing machine problems such as the early development of rust may prompt a lawsuit.
As consumers have begun to experience dangers and problems with their washing machines, some have argued that the manufacturer knew about product problems and failed to provide an appropriate response when those problems were shared with the company.
Samsung washing machine problems tied to rust have been increasingly reported in recent years. If a problem affects many consumers, it could lead to a class action lawsuit.
Samsung top loading washing machines have been associated with a number of different problems in recent years, including some models that have been recalled for critical dangers. Samsung top loading washing machines are marketed as being resistant to damage, chipping, and rust.
However, as soon as one year after purchasing it, consumers have reported Samsung washing machine problems such as the development of rust, making them unusable for the purposes for which they were purchased. A November 2017 recall of Samsung top loading washers prompted some consumers to ask whether rust was just the beginning of Samsung washing machine problems.
Currently, Samsung allegedly does not acknowledge the problems with rust in their washers, and consumers report that technicians are refusing to repair the issue.
A class action lawsuit has been filed associated with Samsung washing machine problems on behalf of those consumers who have allegedly been damaged as a result of these defects. The plaintiff in that Samsung washing machine problems lawsuit says that her 2013 purchase of a top loading washing machine ultimately led to the development of rust on the machine approximately one year after purchase.
She alleges that by 2017, after numerous different technicians had been sent to look at the washer and told that it was simply a cosmetic issue, she was no longer able to use the washing machine for its intended purpose.
According to that consumer and others who have reported similar Samsung washing machine problems, the development of rust inside the drum ultimately caused damage to the clothing, meaning that the consumers have had to wash their laundry elsewhere. A voluntary recall of some top loading washers manufactured by Samsung between 2011 and 2016, was initiated in November 2017.
The company shares that the problems associated with this recall had to do with excessive vibrations, the drums losing balance and the top of the washing machine ultimately becoming separated from the body, causing possibly serious injuries. Allegedly, this occurred when the high-speed cycle was used for bulky items or for bedding.
However, some consumers with other Samsung washing machine problems report that the company has never given them better information about the rust problem. If you or someone you know has experienced Samsung washing machine problems, you may be eligible to participate in a class action investigation and may be entitled to recovery of compensation depending on the specifics of your individual case.
