BSN Cheaters Relief Supplement Class Action Settlement
By Sarah Pierce

Have you purchased the fat-reduction supplement Cheaters Relief within the past five years? If so, you may not have lost as much weight as the product promised, but you may be able to receive a refund of up to $40 from a class action lawsuit settlement with the manufacturer, Bio-Engineered Supplements & Nutrition, Inc. (BSN).
The Cheaters Relief class action settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled Jane Roe v. Bio-Engineered Supplements & Nutrition, Inc., that alleges BSN made false and misleading statements in the labeling and advertising of Cheaters Relief supplements. BSN denies any wrongdoing, but has agreed to cease all misleading marketing and advertising about Cheaters Relief and, as of May 1, 2011, revised its labels on the product.
Additionally, BSN has agreed to provide refunds for Class Members as part of the Cheaters Relief class action lawsuit settlement. Class Members include anyone who purchased a Cheaters Relief product labeled and/or represented as providing “Carbohydrate and Fat Regulation,” “weight management,” and “lean muscle” in the United States for personal use from October 4, 2006 through June 23, 2011.
As part of the Cheaters Relief class action settlement, BSN will provide a refund check of $20 for each bottle of Cheaters Relief product purchased during the class period, up to a maximum of $40 for Class Members who submit a valid Claim Form postmarked no later than September 29, 2011. BSN’s obligation to pay cash refunds is capped at $600,000. If the total amount of Claim Forms filed does not reach $350,000, BSN will donate the unclaimed refunds to City of Hope, an independent medical and research institution.
