A proposed class action lawsuit settlement with eBay concerning certain fees it charged could affect thousands of eBay Sellers who listed and sold items on eBay Motors in the “Parts & Accessories” category.
The eBay Motors fee settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled Brice Yingling d/b/a Alamo Auto Sports and Andy Scott vs. eBay, Inc., that alleges eBay charged the incorrect amount of Final Value Fees for the sale of parts and accessories on eBay Motors for items listed during the period of April 21, 2005 to August 26, 2009.
The proposed $30 million eBay Motors Final Value Fees settlement will be used to reimburse, in part, Final Value Fees paid (net of any previous refunds) by anyone who paid Final Value Fees in conjunction with listing an item in the “Parts & Accessories” category on the eBay Motors website during the time period listed above.
According to eBay’s calculations, which are subject to finalization and revision, it is estimated that settlement class members will be refunded approximately 6.67% of the Final Value Fees (net of any previous refunds) they paid for these listings.
In order to get your reimbursement from the eBay Motors fee class action settlement, you will not have to do anything as long as your legal name and address on file with eBay are already correct. You will automatically receive a settlement payment if the class action settlement is approved at the Fairness Hearing on March 28, 2011.
However, if your name and/or address are incorrect on eBay’s records, you have until March 28, 2011 to update this information. You can do this by going to the Settlement Administrator’s website at www.eBayMotorsFeeClassAction.com. All you have to do is provide your current contact information, including all eBay user IDs used between April 21, 2005 and August 26, 2009; email address; and physical address. You do not need to give any passwords or account numbers.
If you wish to opt out of the eBay Motors fee settlement, or object to it, you have until February 21, 2011 to do so.

Got $1.79, woopy I am rich again.
I got one and my wife did also, a combined $3.19!! Hopefully I can disciplined enough not to spend it all in one place!!
I got a check for nineteen cents, I hate to trouble my bank for handling it, thinking of shredding it, but then Ebay would profit from it. I bought and sold on ebay until they ruined things by changing the return policy, they screwed sellers up the ying, yang. They screwed me out of $60 returned my merchandise a 1000 miles to the wrong address.
Ebay hope you go out of business
I got a whopping $0.80 – that’s 80 cents! I thought these might be a scam…are they? Seems like Clark Howard said something about them some time back…
