Woman Files Hernia Surgery Mesh Lawsuit Due to Serious Injuries SufferedA new complaint in the form of a hernia repair mesh lawsuit has been filed by a patient who alleges severe side effects. The problems named in the hernia repair mesh lawsuit include a diminished quality of life, emotional distress, pain and suffering and permanent injuries.

The hernia repair mesh lawsuit filed by the plaintiff, Alvin P., argues that the manufacturers of the Bard 3D Max mesh and Bard Ventralex ST patch are responsible for the injuries that he sustained. The hernia repair mesh lawsuit is seeking all compensation to which the plaintiff may be entitled.

He, along with numerous other patients who have initiated their own form of a hernia repair mesh lawsuit, argues that the manufacturer is responsible for failing to warn patients about possible side effects of the hernia mesh that could lead to significant complications and problems after implantation.

As the plaintiff explains in his hernia repair mesh lawsuit, he underwent repair of his recurrent right inguinal hernia and an umbilical hernia in Georgia in January 2017. Shortly after that surgery, he says he continued to experience a variety of painful side effects which limited his physical activities.

The plaintiff explains in his hernia repair mesh lawsuit that constant pain in the location of the implantation began and continued shortly after implantation that prevented him from lifting, stooping or bending down without experiencing more severe pain.

The patient explains that he has difficulty sleeping as a result of the pain and cannot even sit comfortably without experiencing problems. The plaintiff also began to experience problems with urination shortly after the hernia mesh surgery.

The plaintiff says he had to discontinue his employment at a grocery store following his 2017 hernia mesh surgery and is, therefore, seeking compensation for lost earnings and loss of earning capacity in his hernia repair mesh lawsuit.

He says that the defendants were responsible for the design, testing, research and development of the Bard hernia mesh product, which the plaintiff alleges is defective and extremely dangerous given the side effects that he and others have suffered following implantation under the belief that the device is safe for implantation.

Lawsuits related to hernia repair have increased in recent years as many patients have reported similar side effects to their doctors.

Some of the most common side effects experienced by those patients who received hernia repair mesh include mesh adhesions, infection, organ perforation, migration of the mesh itself to other parts of the body, mesh erosion, chronic pain, intestinal blockages, allergic reactions and mesh shrinkage.

Patients who have already undergone a surgery with the receipt or a hernia repair mesh should be mindful about the possibility of developing medical complications like those listed above. Concerns related to the side effects and symptoms of hernia repair mesh should be shared immediately with a doctor.

The Hernia Repair Mesh Lawsuit is Case No. 2:18-cv-01116-EAS-KAJ, filed in the United States District Court, Southern Division of Ohio, Eastern Division.
