A Zostavax eye problems lawsuit says that a patient experienced unexplained side effects after receiving the Zostavax shingles vaccine and that the manufacturers of the vaccine, Merck and Company, are responsible for the injuries.

In addition to the many other side effects reported by patients who thought the shot would help them, people are now reporting issues with Zostavax eye problems. Although many medical devices, drugs, and vaccines all carry some level of risk, new information shows that the makers of Zostavax might not have gone far enough in making patients aware of these risks and potential issues.

Zostavax Complications

Zostavax has been the subject of numerous lawsuits
in recent months and years due to patients who developed troubling symptoms, including the development of shingles itself. The Zostavax eye problems lawsuit says that the patient information sheet failed to include all of the risks of viral infection associated with the Zostavax vaccine.

Numerous vaccine adverse event reports were filed with the federal government following Zostavax’s introduction to the market in 2006.

The Zostavax eye problems lawsuit says that the plaintiff, Delores C., received the Zostavax vaccine for the prevention of shingles in April 2017. However, according to the lawsuit, she suffered vision loss in one eye as well as strokes shortly after receiving the vaccine.

The plaintiff’s symptoms, according to the Zostavax eye problems lawsuit, have led to physical limitations that were not mentioned in the package material nor in the warning label of Merck’s product prior to Delores receiving the vaccine. These limitations, allegedly brought about from the vaccine and quite severe, have led to suffering of emotional and mental distress as well.
