Those who own an Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 Smartphone may be entitled to claim benefits under a settlement agreement resolving a class action lawsuit that alleged TCL Communication, the phone maker, compromised the function of the phones through an update.
Lead plaintiffs alleged in their class action lawsuit that TCL marketed, warranted and sold Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch smartphones as possessing compatibility with LTE Band 12, a frequency on which mobile phones operate for high speed communication; however, alleged the class action lawsuit, TCL removed LTE Band compatibility from all OneTouch Idol 3 Smartphones in a software update, greatly reducing the functionality of the OneTouch Idol 3 Smartphones.
TCL denies any liability, but agreed to offer either a replacement Alcatel phone or a return to compatibility to North Carolina or Kentucky Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 Smartphone owners. Additionally, the company has agreed to pay the class representatives $2,500 each as well as attorneys’ fees of $120,000.
Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch Smartphones purchased during the time period of Jan. 1, 2015 – Dec. 27, 2016 are covered by this settlement.
The deadline to opt out of the settlement agreement is May 13, 2018.

ALCATEL PHONES I HAVE 3 PHONES I THOUGHT IT WAS ME it’s SO GOOD TO FIND OUT
I was harassed 2 yrs ago by speedy cash for a debt I did not pay. They called and called, using different area code numbers, every now and then I would talk to them BT telling them I hit the lotto and still won’t pay. The numbers were reported to FTC in 2016. My question is it worth wild to try and collect for harassing , annoying calls and etc.,? They surely violated the FDCPA act.
I want to be added to the lawsuit.
