bleeding-xarelto-lawsuitPatients who begin taking a drug assume the medication will help them, but that hasn’t been the case for many people who reported Xarelto problems.

The blood-thinning drug was marketed as a better version of warfarin but more patients with Xarelto problems have had to discontinue their usage or even cope with hospitalization after a Xarelto incident.

Blood-thinning medications like Xarelto increase the risk of bleeding injuries. Some of the most common Xarelto problems reported include internal bleeding. Severe hemorrhaging or gastrointestinal bleeding can become fatal if doctors don’t capture the situation quickly. Complications might also be associated with recovery from surgery or serious car accidents that lead to bleeding, as well.

Many of those patients who experienced Xarelto problems required hospitalization. In severe situations, those patients had to get blood transfusions. Reports show that due to Xarelto problems, thousands of patients have already been hospitalized and hundreds may have suffered fatal injuries.

Although the drug was originally approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), two black box warnings were affixed to the medication after the FDA received numerous adverse event reports of Xarelto problems. One of these warnings provides information about higher blood clot risk that may occur with sudden discontinuation of the drug. The other warning shares details about Xarelto’s ability to contribute to spinal and head injuries in certain patients.

Xarelto Lawsuits

Many patients who have suffered from these serious Xarelto side effects want to know more about their rights. Some have argued that the manufacturer is responsible for failing to share information about these symptoms with patients or the medical community.

Many of these patients have filed defective drug lawsuits against the manufacturer, claiming that the makers of the drugs knew about the risks. Johnson & Johnson and Janssen Pharmaceuticals are the manufacturers behind Xarelto. Other drugmakers with similar blood-thinning medications are also facing blood thinner injury lawsuits.

Xarelto problems and injuries come at a high cost for the affected patient. Filing a Xarelto lawsuit may be the only way to recover some of the funds spent in an effort to address a severe bleed. Some patients have even paid the ultimate price after taking Xarelto, leaving their families to deal with the financial fallout. Those who have been lucky enough to survive may never be able to work or live their lives the same ever again.

Recognizing this, those families may feel as though they have no choice but to file a Xarelto injury lawsuit against a negligent manufacturer for the losses sustained. If you or someone you know has already dealt with Xarelto problems and has had to adjust your life to manage the pain, you deserve to have someone fighting for you.
