Aquasana water filter water faucetThe Aquasana water filtration system is marketed as an efficient reverse osmosis water filter. But some owners say this system has been causing massive water damage to their homes.

Online reviews described the Aquasana water filtration system as defective. Owners say the manufacturing company allegedly failed to replace the products or compensate them for water damage.

These complaints were submitted to Consumer Reports and other online platforms, which reported the Aquasana water filtration system had cracked and leaked all over.

One customer reported that after purchasing a replacement Aquasana water filtration system, after their first one reportedly failed, the product caused flooding under the sink. This customer reported that the new Aquasana water filtration system was supposed to be “an improved design,” but it created the same leaking problem as their previous water filter.

Consumers across America have been reporting similar problems with Aquasana water filtration systems, stating the products leaked and caused serious water damage. Customers have reported damage to their kitchen, and that Aquasana either did not replace the product or compensate them for the cost of repairs.

Even though there have been many complaints from consumers regarding the Aquasana water filtration system and the property damage they allegedly caused, the manufacturing company has not issued a recall or notified the public of these potential problems.

This has caused many Aquasana water filtration system owners to take to the internet to tell their stories, including the details of property damage caused by leaking or flooding allegedly from the filters.

Overview of Aquasana Water Filtration System Problems

Previously known as Sun Water Systems, Aquasana manufactures and produces a wide variety of water filtration system products, including water filters for an entire residence, water softeners, water filters, shower filters, and water bottles.

The reverse osmosis Aquasana water filtration systems can sell for about $275 and are installed under the kitchen sink, with a separate water faucet for filtered water installed on the top of the sink.

The reported leakage has been blamed on the locking tabs on the device’s components. These tabs are supposed to create a reliable, watertight seal, which is supposed to hold the device together as the water is continuously filtered through.

However, these locking tabs have been allegedly breaking under minimal stress, creating micro cracks and eventually failing altogether.

The cracks on the locking tabs slowly grow, ultimately causing leakage and severe water damage to the property. This is troubling news for consumers, as these locking tabs are necessary for the device to hold together during the water’s filtration process.

Even though Aquasana reportedly updated the product’s design, customers are still complaining of leaking water and property damage. These consumer reports have also spurred class action investigators to review claims of property damage or other financial damages.

Consumers who experienced property damages that resulted from the Aquasana water filtration system may be eligible to file legal action.

I owned the Aquasana Claryum® 3-Stage Max Flow and this also eventually leaked causing the under sink cabinets to be mold, and the base of the wood to be removed.
