Breathe Right Snore Relief Throat Spray Class Action Settlement

By Matt O’Donnell

Breathe Right Snore Relief throat sprayAn Illinois judge has preliminarily approved a class action lawsuit settlement between GlaxoSmithKline and consumers who purchased Breathe Right Snore Relief throat spray. Eligible consumers that submit a valid Claim Form by May 21, 2013 can receive a product voucher valued at $8.

The Breathe Right Snore Relief settlement will resolve a 2011 class action lawsuit titled Swires, et al. v. GlaxoSmithKline, LLC that alleges GSK falsely and deceptively marketed its product in violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Plaintiffs specifically claimed that the throat spray does not reduce loudness and frequency of snoring, provide 30 quiet nights, help 85% of snorers get relief, or lubricate throat tissues to control the snoring sound as advertised.

GSK denies the allegations and any wrongdoing but has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the litigation.

Class Members of the Breathe Right Snore Relief class action settlement include anyone who purchased the throat spray in the State of Illinois from January 1, 2008 through the present. Class Members that file a valid Claim Form postmarked on or before May 21, 2013 can receive a product voucher valued at $8 that can be used to purchase Breathe Right Nasal Strips or other similarly named Breathe Right products.

True, this product did not live up the snore relief promise. Me and my hubbie snore and tried the prduct, but I became a fan of it for another benefit. I sometimes waked up with a very sore a DEEP dry throat. A few spritzes of Breath Rite a
Swabbed my micous membranes and eased the dryness. Would love to see this product return. Marketed for that new purpose. Was only somewhat disappointed with the snore results, the other benefit was far more useful to me and I really wish I had bottle now I have dehydrated throat thanks to a cold.

Well, the damn stuff worked for me, unless you can convince me that I can have a placebo effect while unconscious. Thanks for killing a useful product to line your pockets.

LOL Lorri. Maybe because it was a throat spray and not a nasal spray. You are the reason for warning labels. Pretty dang smart you are
