Taxotere has been approved to treat a number of other cancers since its release, treating millions of patients suffering from cancer.

Even though Taxotere has been praised for its effective treatment mechanism, numerous women have reported permanent hair loss from chemo.

Similar to other chemotherapy drugs, Taxotere works by attacking rapidly reproducing cells and is designed to kill the cancer cells before they spread.

Sanofi Aventis had allegedly failed to provide any kind of relevant studies, and failed to mention the possibility of permanent hair loss from chemo on Taxotere’s warning label.

The risk of Taxotere permanent hair loss from chemo was not mentioned until December 2015, when the FDA required a label update.

The agency ordered this change after receiving numerous complaints of alopecia.

Sanofi Aventis allegedly knew the risk of Taxotere and permanent hair loss from chemo for years, but concealed the information for years to protect the drug’s market value.

Linda states that she never would have taken Taxotere if she had known the risk of permanent hair loss from chemo.

She and her husband are filing legal action against Sanofi Aventis for failure to warn and multiple counts of negligence.
