The near $4 million Kashi settlement resolves allegations that the food manufacturer mislabeled products as “100% natural,” “all natural,” or “nothing artificial” when they actually contained genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

Kashi denied the claims and attempted to have the class action dismissed on multiple occasions but the litigation survived and resulted in a settlement.

Class Members included anyone who purchased Kashi products between 2008 and 2015 for personal use.

Those individuals who were able to submit a receipt along with their Claim Form were fully reimbursed for the Kashi items they purchased. All other Class Members who filed a claim without proof of purchase were set to receive a maximum amount of $27.50 per household.

The deadline to file a claim for the Kashi “all natural” class action settlement passed on Jan. 19, 2016.

I received .96 but it was because I submitted for 1 box – I think a lot of people just hurried through and only submitted 1 like I did. Ooops

They are doing something wrong, how come so many people are getting a check for 96c? Something is not right here

  6. Maria says:

I have not received a check. I live in California?

    1. jimbo says:

Someone said California had their own and that time passed earlier than this one.

  7. jimbo says:

Here’s an update. I received another check from Kashi. Maybe the 96 cents was a left over amount or something similar because this latest check was for 98.50 . I’m also surprised it covers the purchases and the tax on the check I’ll have to pay to the gov’t. I guess I won’t ban Kellogg’s and Kashi from my food purchases now.

  8. key says:

    20 received

  9. leelee says:

    $44 received in WI

  10. jimbo says:

I’d like to know why after spending my time gathering up and submitting my valid proof of purchase receipts for about $50, within the time period, and for items on the list, how I ended up with a whole 96 cents. I won’t be buying Kashi or Kellogg’s ever again. Maybe I should post that check on facebook and make fun of it? Too bad there won’t be a next time because I wound withdraw from the settlement, get my own lawyer to turn them into shredded wheat laughing stock. At least the lawyers got their payday of $1.5 Million.

    1. Cj says:

I received the same! Pure greed!!!
