The Celexa and Lexapro settlement resolves allegations that Forest Laboratories violated the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act by promoting the medications for pediatric use.
Under the class action settlement, Class Members who bought either medication between 1998 and 2005 for use by a minor could seek a full refund providing they knew how much they paid.
In addition, Class Members who purchased either Celexa or Lexapro between the years 2005 and 2013 could seek a percentage of the purchase price.
All other Class Members who paid for Lexapro or Celexa between 1998 and 2013, but didn’t know how much the purchase amount was, could still claim $50.
Forest denied the accusations but agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid the cost and risk of going to trial.
The deadline to file a claim for the pediatric Celexa, Lexapro class action settlement passed on Jan. 26, 2015.
