Zimmer Dental TCPA Class Action Settlement Checks Mailed

Top Class Actions readers are starting to receive checks in the mail from a class action settlement that alleged Zimmer Dental violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending out fax advertisements without prior consent.

According to reader comments and posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page, Class Members who submitted a timely and valid claim for the Zimmer Dental TCPA class action settlement started receiving checks worth as much as $975.87 on May 19, 2016.

If you filed a claim for the Zimmer settlement, keep an eye on your mailbox because checks are on the way!

The Zimmer Dental class action settlement resolves allegations that the company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending faxes without the consent of the recipient.

Zimmer Dental denied the allegations but agreed to pay $1.6 million to avoid the expense of further litigation.

Class Members of the Zimmer TCPA settlement included all individuals who were sent a text spam between Feb. 17, 2011 and Nov. 24, 2015 and the message did not include an opt-out request number.

The deadline to file a claim for the Zimmer Dental class action settlement passed on Feb. 29, 2016.
