MaritzMayer Garcinia Cambogia Supplement Settlement Checks Mailed

Readers are starting to receive checks in the mail from a class action settlement stemming over allegations the Private Label Nutraceuticals LLC (doing business as MaritzMayer Laboratories) falsely advertised its Garcinia Cambogia supplements as effective weight loss supplements.

According to reader comments and posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page, Class Members who submitted timely and valid claims for the MaritzMayer settlement began receiving checks worth as much as $19.99 on May 9, 2016.

If you filed a claim for the Garcinia Cambogia supplement class action settlement, keep an eye on your mailbox because your payout is on the way!

The Private Label Nutraceuticals class action settlement resolves allegations that the supplement manufacturer deceptively marketed its Garcinia Cambogia 1300 and Garcinia Cambogia 75 products with claims including: “Supports Appetite Control” and “Inhibits Fat Production.”

MaritzMayer denied all accusations but agreed to establish a Settlement Fund as well as change the supplement packaging to include the following wording: “Caloric restriction and exercise required to obtain desired results. Results may vary.”

Class Members of the MaritzMayer Laboratories settlement included consumers who bought Garcinia Cambogia 1300 and/or Garcinia Cambogia 75 in the U.S. for personal use between Nov. 26, 2010 and Jan. 29, 2016.

The deadline to file a claim for the Garcinia Cambogia class action settlement passed on Jan. 29, 2016.
