Uncle Julio's minimum wage

A class action lawsuit alleging Uncle Julio’s Corporation and Uncle Julio’s of Illinois Inc. violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by requiring servers and/or bartenders to perform non-tipped work such as cleaning and maintenance while paying them less than minimum wage is currently pending in Illinois federal court.

If you worked as a bartender and/or server at an Uncle Julio’s restaurant in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas or Virginia at any time since Oct. 16, 2012, you may be eligible to join the class action lawsuit.

To participate in the litigation, you must submit a Consent to Join Lawsuit form by June 21, 2016. If you do not submit this form by the deadline, you will not be bound by the outcome of this litigation. That means you will be able to file your own lawsuit if you wish. However, if you do not join the lawsuit and a class action settlement is reached, you will not be entitled to any benefits.

Uncle Julio’s denies that it violated any wage and hour laws and maintains its servers and bartenders were properly compensated.
