Top Class Actions has been following the high-tech antitrust class action lawsuit against Apple, Google, Pixar, Intel, Intuit, Lucasfilm and Adobe since 2012.

The initial complaint filed by five software engineers alleged that these technology companies secretly agreed not to hire or poach software engineers from each others’ businesses in a conspiracy that led to a 10 to 15 percent salary reduction.

The high-tech employee antitrust settlement was open to tech professionals who worked for any of the seven named companies in positions such as Software Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Component Designer, Application Developers, Programmer, and Product Developer. The anti-poaching settlement was expected to affect about 64,000 Class Members.

A settlement of $415 million was approved of by a California federal judge after she previously rejected an initial settlement offer of $325 million.

The tech companies do not admit to any wrongdoing, but agreed to settle this anti-poaching class action lawsuit in order to avoid the of further litigation.
