North Carolina Check ‘n Go Class Action Settlement
By Matt O’Donnell

payday loansA class action lawsuit settlement has been reached with Check ‘n Go of North Carolina over charging unlawful fees on payday loans. If you received a payday loan at a North Carolina Check ‘n Go, you may be eligible to receive a cash payment of $10 or more from the settlement.

The North Carolina Check ‘n Go settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, titled McQuillan v. Check ‘n Go of North Carolina, Inc., that claims the interest and other fees charged by Check ‘n Go violated North Carolina law.

You’re considered a class member of the Check ‘n Go payday loan class action settlement if you entered into a payday loan transaction at a North Carolina Check ‘n Go office at any time after August 31, 2001, in a transaction that did not involve a national bank as the lender. A payday loan transaction means cash advances, deferred deposit check cashing disbursements, loans (including installment loans and zero interest loans) or other transactions.

If approved, Check ‘n Go will pay $14 million into a settlement fund. Each class member will receive at least $10 from the settlement, which could be more if less people file claims or if you paid more fees during the class period (the time beginning September 1, 2001 up through and including April 30, 2006.) In some circumstances, the amount of cash you could receive could be as much as several hundred dollars.

Class notices were mailed to all class members with claim filing instructions. If you did not receive a class notice but believe you are included in the settlement, this may mean the settlement administrator does not have your correct address. You can correct your address and find additional information about the North Carolina Check ‘n Go payday loan class action settlement at www.nccgsettlement.com.

I have been on Lyrica for approximately 2-3 years. What started as 1 or 2 things has now snowballed. I am loosing feeling in my hands at this point amongst other issues. I told my Dr. the Lyrica doesn’t stop the pain it only numbs the mind and puts me to sleep mostly. I’m so out of it and zombiefied when I’m awake that I can’t function & can’t drive. So Why would they Up the dosage? Completely lost me when she did that. But I’m following my care plan because I want to get better. Well learn to live with pain, at least that’s what they say. Not sure I’d call it living. But I’m sure the Pharmacist are living it up. Add me to this Lyrica claim if there is one please.

    1. Jennifer Colville says:

me too. Lyrica is evil. I co admin a FB page Lyrica Survivors. I want drs to know that the studies given to FDA to approve Lyrica are fake. The advertisements arent real. Lyrica doesnt even work and the side effects are horrendous. I want drs to stop prescribing it. Stop saying its not adductive. I quit smoking easier than weaning off lyrica. I also want to make the manufacturer, Phizer culpable. Doctors stop prescribing if and when patient says it doesnt work. Not increase it. Also help us patients that lyrica has caused irreversible damage. Also the fact that it is used off label so many ways that now think its approved. Drs need to know the truth. Not listen to big pharma. Also while we are at it. FDA needs to have better and safer regulations
