The MIB3 infotainment system has been incorporated into multiple models across the Volkswagen lineup. It is designed to control navigation, audio, smartphone connectivity and other important vehicle functions.

However, multiple reports indicate that the system may freeze, glitch or crash while the vehicle is in use. In some cases, this may leave drivers without access to critical information, including the speedometer, gas gauge and other dashboard features.

Now, drivers who experienced problems with their Volkswagen infotainment system are pursuing legal action through a Volkswagen class action lawsuit investigation.

Do you qualify?

Drivers who own or lease a Volkswagen vehicle and have experienced problems with the MIB3 infotainment system — including screen blackouts, screen distortion or system crashes — may qualify to participate in a Volkswagen class action lawsuit investigation.

What drivers are saying about the Volkswagen infotainment system

Numerous drivers have taken to auto forums, news websites and social media platforms to share concerns about the infotainment system in their Volkswagen vehicles.

One driver described their experience after purchasing a new vehicle:

“I have become the recent owner of a brand-new 2024 Volkswagen Atlas. Literally, the second time I started it, the screen looked like a 1980s TV in need of adjustment of the rabbit ears.”

Another driver shared a similar issue on Facebook:

“My 2025 Volkswagen Atlas display went blank, park sensor stopped working. Called the dealership who said that I’m the 20th person to call about the same problem today.”

A Volkswagen Tiguan owner also reported problems with the digital dashboard:

“Not my first VW, but this is my first Tiguan (2024 SE). I love it so far, but had a weird issue yesterday with the dash screen behind the steering wheel where the mph is displayed. It froze while I was driving… This posed a safety concern as the speed was stuck at 3mph while I was on the highway.”

These reports reflect a small portion of the growing number of complaints from drivers who say their Volkswagen infotainment system screens have frozen, gone blank or malfunctioned while the vehicle was in use.
