Several popular companies, retailers and manufacturers announced recalls for products that may pose a risk of injury to consumers. Here are Top Class Actions’ top recalls for the week of Nov. 4.

International Delight recall affects Home Alone Zero Sugar Peppermint Mocha creamer

Danone US LLC issued a recall of its International Delight Zero Sugar Peppermint Mocha creamer due to a labeling error that falsely marked the product as containing zero sugar despite it containing sugar.

The recall applies to 1,799 cases of the creamer sold in 32-ounce bottles labeled as “Home Alone International Delight Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar.” Each case includes six bottles, and the product was sold refrigerated.

The Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as Class II, meaning the mislabeled product poses a low risk of severe health consequences, though adverse effects are still possible. Danone distributed the affected creamer to Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.

Recall issued for Ram 1500 vehicles due to damaged front wheel bearing encoder rings

Chrysler recalled more than 33,000 model year 2025 Ram 1500 pickup trucks due to potential damage to the front wheel bearing encoder rings.

A damaged encoder ring may lead to the loss of wheel speed signals, potentially deactivating the electronic stability control, a critical safety feature designed to prevent skidding and loss of control, according to the recall notice. This issue could increase the risk of an accident.

The recall affects specific 2025 Ram 1500 models manufactured between Oct. 13, 2023, and Aug. 11, 2024.

Chrysler will offer free inspections and, if necessary, replacements of the front wheel bearing hub assembly at authorized dealerships, the recall notice states. Affected owners should expect to receive official recall notifications by Dec. 19, 2024.

For further details, owners can contact Chrysler directly at 800-853-1403 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236.

Halo issues recall for tumblers sold at Wawa due to laceration hazard

Halo issued a recall for 60,000 tumblers sold at Wawa stores due to a metal straw that poses a risk of cutting users’ mouths or fingers.

The recall impacts 24-ounce reusable tumblers with “Wawa” printed on them. Halo received four reports of injuries, including hand and mouth lacerations, resulting from contact with the metal straw, the recall notice states.

Consumers should stop using the metal straw immediately and contact Halo for a free silicone replacement, according to the recall notice. Those who prefer not to keep the tumbler can return it with the metal straw to receive a $15 gift card refund. Halo will provide prepaid shipping labels for returns and has advised against returning the items to Wawa stores. No proof of purchase is necessary for the replacement or refund.

Volvo announces truck recall due to electronic control unit defect

Volvo recalled more than 126,000 trucks due to defective electronic control units that could compromise multiple safety systems and heighten the risk of a crash.

Announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Oct. 23, the recall affects 126,649 model year 2020-2025 VN, VAH, VHD and VNRE trucks equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced ECUs. The faulty units may impact functions like automatic traction control, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, active cruise control and collision mitigation, according to the recall notice.

The recall report indicates “electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier” may cause the ECU to misinterpret commands or shut down, potentially disabling critical safety features. No accidents or injuries have been reported. Volvo is taking preventive action by offering free ECU software reprogramming through its dealers, according to the recall notice. It will notify affected owners by mail beginning Dec. 13.

Harbor Freight announces recall for backpack sprayers

Harbor Freight Tools recalled approximately 53,000 Bauer-branded 20V Battery-Powered 4-Gallon Backpack Sprayers due to concerns that chemicals could leak into the battery compartment, potentially causing the battery to overheat.

Harbor Freight sold the recalled sprayers, which have a distinctive red, white, and black design with a UPC code of 193175443663, both online and in Harbor Freight stores nationwide from March 2022 to September 2024, priced between $80 and $120.

Consumers should stop using the sprayers immediately and contact Harbor Freight for a return and full refund in the form of a gift card, the recall notice states.

Harbor Freight received eight reports of battery overheating related to this issue, though no injuries have been reported.

For more information, customers can reach Harbor Freight at 800-444-3353.
