Al-Safa US LLC issued a recall for approximately 2,010 pounds of imported frozen ready-to-eat chicken products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes.ย
The recall involves certain Al Safa Halal Charcoal Grilled Chicken Seekh Kebab Grilled, Minced, Chicken Patty Kebab and Al Safa Halal Fully Cooked Chicken Chapli Kebab Seasoned Chicken Patty products.ย
The recalled halal chicken products were produced on June 5, 2024, in Canada and imported to the U.S. on June 13, 2024, and June 21, 2024, and have Nov. 30, 2025 and the number 0605404 or 0605416 printed on a sticker on the outside of their package.ย
FSIS says no confirmed reports of adverse health reactions in connection with halal chicken recall
The potential listeria contamination was discovered by the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) following routine product testing, according to the recall.ย
The FSIS said there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions in connection with consuming the recalled halal chicken products.ย
Consumers who have purchased the recalled halal chicken products are urged by the FSIS not to eat them and to either throw them away or return them to their place of purchase.ย

A separate recall involving potential listeria contamination was issued last month by ice cream producer Totally Cool for multiple brands of ice cream products, including Friendlyโs, Hersheyโs, ChipWich and LaSalle, among others.ย
