Wahlburgers to pay $2M over claims it misled consumers about pickles
Wahlburgers, a casual dining burger restaurant and bar chain, agreed to pay $2 million to resolve claims the company misled consumers by stating their pickles were fresh, all-natural and had no preservatives because they contain sodium benzoate.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased Wahlburgers’ Fresh Dill Spears, Fresh Dill Chips and Fresh Dill Chips Hot between April 1, 2021, and March 31, 2023.
Consumers must submit a valid claim form by July 29, 2024, to join the class action settlement.
Assurance IQ to pay $21M over TCPA violation claims
Assurance IQ agreed to pay $21.875 million to put an end to claims the online health insurance marketplace violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act with unsolicited robocalls.
The settlement benefits a class of individuals who received a phone call from Assurance IQ that used an artificial or prerecorded voice between Oct. 1, 2018, and March 6, 2024.
Individuals who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by July 31, 2024.
Costco to pay $2M over claims it falsely advertised Kirkland wipes as flushable
Costco agreed to pay $2 million to resolve claims the retailer falsely advertised its Kirkland brand “flushable” wipes as flushable.
The settlement benefits a class of consumers who purchased Costco’s Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes in New York state between July 1, 2011, and May 31, 2017.
Consumers who want to make a claim to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 9, 2024.
Bleacher Report to pay $4.8M over claims it shared account holders’ personal info
Bleacher Report agreed to pay $4.8 million to end claims the sport information company shared the personal information of its account holders with Facebook without their consent.
The settlement benefits a nationwide class of individuals who had a Bleacher Report account between Jan. 25, 2021, and May 21, 2024.
Individuals who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 23, 2024.
CGM agrees to pay $1.5M to end claims it failed to prevent data breach
CGM agreed to pay $1.5 million to resolve claims the software as a service solutions company failed to have reasonable security measures in place to prevent a December 2022 data breach.
The settlement benefits a nationwide class of consumers whom CGM notified their information may have been compromised during the data breach.
Consumers who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 26, 2024.
TaxAct to pay $14.95M over privacy violation claims
TaxAct agreed to pay $14.95 million to resolve claims the tax preparation software company committed privacy violations.
The settlement benefits a nationwide class of individuals, along with a joint filing class of their spouses, who used a TaxAct online do-it-yourself consumer Form 1040 tax filing product and filed a tax return using that product between Jan. 1, 2018, and Dec. 31, 2022.
Individuals who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 11, 2024.
Direct Express credit card holders to receive $1.2M over fraud claims
Conduent and Comerica agreed to pay $1.2 million to end claims the companies mishandled fraud claims made by Direct Express credit card account holders.
The settlement benefits a class of Direct Express credit card account holders who submitted one or more fraudulent transaction claims between Feb. 12, 2018, and Sept. 28, 2022, that Conduent and/or Comerica subsequently denied.
Individuals who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 12, 2024.
Mazda settles claims it sold certain vehicles with faulty valve stem
Mazda agreed to a class action settlement to resolve claims the automaker manufactured and sold certain vehicles containing defective valve stems.
The settlement benefits a nationwide class of current and former owners and lessees of model year 2021-2022 Mazda CX-30, 2021 CX-5, 2021 CX-9, 2021-2022 Mazda3 and 2021 Mazda6 vehicles equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine containing a faulty valve stem.
Individuals who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Oct. 19, 2024.
Earth Rated to pay $825,000 over claims it falsely advertised dog poop bags as compostable
Earth Rated agreed to pay $825,000 to end claims the dog waste bag manufacturer falsely advertised its dog poop bags as compostable.
The settlement benefits a class of consumers who purchased at least one Earth Rated Certified Compostable Poop Bags product between Oct. 28, 2015, and June 13, 2024.
Consumers who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Dec. 9, 2024.
JK Buick to pay $130,000 to end unsolicited telemarketing texts claims
JK Buick agreed to pay $130,000 to resolve claims the Illinois-based car dealer violated the TCPA by sending unsolicited telemarketing text messages to consumers who attempted to opt out of receiving them.
The settlement benefits a class of consumers who received a marketing text from JK Buick after requesting not to receive them.
Consumers do not have to submit a claim form to benefit from the class action settlement.
