Tampa General Hospital to pay $6.8M over May 2023 data breach
Tampa General Hospital agreed to pay $6.8 million to resolve claims it failed to protect patient information during a May 2023 data breach.
The settlement benefits a class of individuals whom the Florida Health Sciences Center notified that the data breach may have compromised.
Individuals who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 12, 2025.
MU Health Care agrees to pay $8M over May 2020 data breach
Missouri University Health Care agreed to pay $8 million to resolve claims it failed to prevent a May 2020 data breach.
The settlement benefits a class of individuals whom MU Health notified that the data breach may have compromised their personal information.
Individuals who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 14, 2025.
PillPack agrees to pay $6.5M to end claims it made unlawful calls
PillPack agreed to pay $6.5 million to end claims the online pharmacy violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act with unsolicited telemarketing calls.
The settlement benefits a class of individuals who received a telemarketing phone call using a prerecorded voice that was live-transferred to a PillPack call center between March 13, 2018, and June 16, 2019.
Consumers who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 20, 2025.
Lansing Community College to pay $1.45M over monthslong data breach
Lansing Community College agreed to pay $1.45 million to resolve claims the Michigan school failed to prevent a monthslong 2022 data breach.
The settlement benefits a class of Lansing Community College students and employees whose personal information the data breach compromised between Dec. 25, 2022, and March 15, 2023.
Individuals who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 20, 2025.
Lemonade agrees to pay $5M over data-sharing claims
Lemonade Inc. agreed to pay nearly $5 million to end claims the insurance company shared life insurance applicants’ health information with third parties without consent.
The settlement benefits a class of consumers who used lemonade.com either directly or through bestow.com or northamericancompany.com and entered answers to health-related questions on a life insurance application between March 15, 2021, and Sept. 28, 2023.
Consumers who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 21, 2025.
Daily Harvest to pay $7.67M to resolve food poisoning claims
Daily Harvest agreed to pay $7.67 million to resolve claims its French Lentil + Leek Crumbles product caused food poisoning.
The settlement benefits a class of consumers who purchased, received or consumed the frozen food product in 2022 and subsequently suffered personal injuries or consequential monetary damages.
Consumers who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 21, 2025.
Deere Credit Services to pay $1.5M over alleged unlawful phone calls
Deere Credit Services agreed to pay $1.5 million to end claims the company violated the TCPA by using an artificial or prerecorded voice in phone calls made to non-customers who did not consent to receiving them.
The settlement benefits a class of consumers who were not a Deere Credit Services’ customer or account holder but who received a phone call from the company that used a prerecorded or artificial voice between Feb. 2, 2020, and June 25, 2024.
Consumers who want to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 25, 2025.
Webster University to pay $250K to resolve claims it overcharged students during pandemic
Colorado-based Webster University agreed to pay $250,000 to end claims it overcharged its students for fees during campus closures during the spring 2020 semester amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The settlement benefits a class of individuals who attended Webster University as a full-time and in-person student and who were charged a student activity fee, housing activity fee or parking fee during the spring 2020 semester.
No claim form is required to benefit from the class action settlement. Individuals who want to be excluded from the agreement must exclude themselves by Jan. 16, 2025.
Stanford Health Care to pay $10M over labor claims
Stanford Health Care agreed to pay $10 million to end claims it failed to provide meal breaks and pay premiums to California nurses.
The settlement benefits a class of hourly-paid peri- and post-operative, catheterization, laboratory, endoscopy, interventional radiology and procedure room nurses who worked for Stanford Health Care in California between March 4, 2018, and April 13, 2024.
No claim form is required to benefit from the class action settlement.
Bank of America agrees to pay $3.25M to end claims it failed to properly notify after vehicle repossessions
Bank of America agreed to pay $3.25 million to end claims it failed to send proper notices to Pennsylvania borrowers after the bank repossessed their vehicles.
The settlement benefits consumers who borrowed from Bank of America and were sent notices by the bank after their vehicle was repossessed between Dec. 23, 2016, and Feb. 16, 2024.
No claim form is required to benefit from the class action settlement.
