polar seltzer waterA class action lawsuit claims that Polar Seltzer water is actually mostly synthetic, though it is advertised as “100% natural.”

The Polar Seltzer class action lawsuit was filed by Kimberly McNulty who says she purchased a 12-pack of Polar 100% Natural Seltzer from a Target in New York a few months ago.

Allegedly, McNulty tries to purchase natural or organic products whenever possible. She says that she decided to purchase the Polar Seltzer largely because it was advertised as 100 percent natural.

The plaintiff claims that she looked at the advertising on the 12-pack box and the individual containers, and says that they are all labeled as “100% natural.”

However, the Polar Seltzer class action lawsuit cites a report from the Center for Applied Isotope Studies at the University of Georgia, which found that various Polar Seltzer flavors were made of between 58 percent and 96 percent synthetic ingredients – “a far cry from the company’s claim of ‘100% natural.'”

McNulty claims that had she been aware that the products contained synthetic ingredients and were not all natural as advertised, she would not have purchased them, or would have paid much less than she did for them.

Additionally, McNulty says that she was denied the benefit of her bargain because she received a product that had different qualities than what was advertised to her. She says that in future, if the Polar products were indeed all natural, consistent with their labeling, she would consider purchasing them again.

The Polar bubbly water class action lawsuit says that many other consumers were misled in a similar way to McNulty, and may have made their purchasing decisions based on the belief that the Polar seltzer was 100 percent natural.

Allegedly, Polar Beverages Co. Inc. knew or should have known that its products are not all natural, but advertised them as such nonetheless.

The Polar Seltzer class action lawsuit says that consumers are not able to test products themselves before purchasing them, so they have no choice but to rely on the advertisement put forth by the company.

The Polar bubbly class action lawsuit states that the company intentionally misrepresents the nature of its products because it is aware that customers prefer all natural products and are willing to pay more for them.

natural, diet, heart healthy, just a few terms the govt allows on food labels to mislead people. most grains, oils, meat, dairy fo9d coloring and artificially sweetened items are laced with chemicals, many are banned in other parts of the world, but allowed here. And we wonder why so many people are are sick. Our govt does not protect us.
